Each XL block in the Dungeon Blocks XL set measures 10.5 cm x 10.5 cm ; equivalent to nine classic blocks, making it easy to construct expansive areas quickly.
Yet Dungeon Blocks XL offers more than just increased size. It’s crafted to deliver a distinctive building experience, enabling the creation of intricate, multi-layered terrains while maintaining modularity. With the Dungeon Blocks Builder, users can begin with straightforward layouts that rapidly evolve into ambitious and visually striking designs. The inclusion of level pieces, available in three different heights and fully compatible with classic Dungeon Blocks, further enhances creative flexibility.
The creators made deliberate design choices. Although the system already includes 170 unique blocks, they consciously avoided adding more complex combinations, such as height variations in curved sections—that would have allowed for even more elaborate multi-level connections.
Such additions, however, would have led to an exponential increase in possibilities, potentially overwhelming the Builder and complicating the user experience.
Instead, the team prioritized enjoyment and simplicity. This led to the development of square, rock-shaped level pieces that allow for height adjustments without introducing excessive complexity; ensuring a smooth, playful, and intuitive building process.
